At a distance of 8 km is the typically Spanish town of Vélez-Málaga and at 12 km Torre del Mar, with its wide beaches and promenade. Both cities have large supermarkets and nice shops. Between Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar is an air conditioned indoor shopping centre called El Ingenio. In the village of La Viñuela, at a distance of 4 km, is a small supermarket. Many villages and towns in the Axarquia have weekly markets, where bargain hunters can get good deals and where you can buy products typically of the region.
