Casa Pimienta is located in the heart of the Axarquia, a region in Andalucia between Málaga and Granada.
The Moors called it Ash-sharquia ‘land of the East’ because it is situated east of Malaga. The boundaries of the Axarquia are formed by the Mediterranean Sea in the South, the Montes de Málaga in the West, the Sierras Enmedio, Alhama, Tejeda and Almijara in the North and the Sierra de Cantarijan in the East.

Because of its location, the Axarquia has a subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters. The region has an average of 320 sunny days a year!

Casa Pimienta stands for ‘The House with the peppers’. We love Andalucia, because of the nice temperature, the sun, the sea, the culture, the history and its cuisine. But it could be a little bit more 'peppered', we think. When cooking, we use hot sauces in the kitchen to spice up the tapas.

Laying out the garden, we were partly inspired by Mexican Baja California with its many cacti. There are also Mediterranean plants and trees, such as olives, palmtrees and figs.

The spacious house accommodates up to six people, who can fully enjoy the gorgeous views, the private swimming pool and the quiet surroundings. In contemporary Andalucia the Moorish past is still present and tangible, also in Casa Pimienta. The rugs, lamps and tables give the house an oriental atmosphere.
Casa Pimienta is a spacious and comfortable villa that easily accommodates up to six people.

The dining room has a large six-person table, the living room two couches and an easy chair. You can use the TV, DVD player, a radio with cd player and i-Pod connection and the well-stocked bookshelf. For the cooler winter evenings there are a fireplace and two gas- and electrical heaters available.

Mobile phone and internet are no problem in Casa Pimienta. There is a wireless internet connection for contact with the outside world.

Casa Pimienta has three spacious bedrooms with wardrobes. Each bedroom has a fan. There are two bathrooms each with bath, shower and toilet. One of the bathrooms is ensuite. In addition, there is a separate toilet.

The kitchen is large and fully equipped. You can use the dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, electric waterheater, citrus press and both a Senseo and a filter coffee maker. Nothing stops you from having and enjoying a nice Spanish meal!

The typical Spanish town of Vélez-Málaga is 8 kilometers away and the seaside resort of Torre del Mar just 12 kilometers. Casa Pimienta is 60 kilometers from Málaga International Airport, a drive of approximately 45 minutes.
